The Emotional Future

My theory is that we’re wrong about feelings. Human beings know almost nothing about feelings and in fact we repress, silence, and even persecute them. We talk about “having feelings” when really the feelings are “having us.” I suspect that feelings are entities, or spirits, which use our bodies as vessels to learn more about themselves, and further themselves down the evolutionary timeline. So it might be helpful if we stopped trying to imprison our feelings. That’s my thesis, more or less. A working thesis. I’m trying to figure something out here. Something important. Charles Darwin important. I am my own barnacle.
